BA Course Eligibility Criteria

Any aspirant willing to pursue BA Course must check the mentioned below eligibility criteria to be fulfilled.

  • The basic Bachelor of arts eligibility is to secure a minimum of 40-50 % in Class XII from any recognized university.
  • If aiming to study in Delhi University, Mumbai University or other prestigious universities, one needs to score more than 90%.
  • SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled candidates get a 5% of relaxation as per the government rules.

BA Course Admission Process

Admission to Bachelor of Arts is offered through both merit and entrances in India.

  • BA Admission through Merit: Colleges generate their cut off list, and if you have scored within that criteria then you are eligible to take admission in that program. Cut off List in elite colleges like Hindu College, Miranda House, Gargi College, etc. goes upto 98% for Bachelor of arts.
  • BA Admission through Entrance: Few colleges like Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University and more take admission through entrances like JNUEE, BHU UET, DUET, etc. Scores in these entrance exams and/or Class XII scores are considered during BA Course admission.

The bachelor of arts process of admission for both merit and entrances types are the same with registration, uploading documents and application fees. The only difference is that one needs to collect the admit card and sit for the entrances in case of admission through entrances.
